Kim Min-su Ends Loan at Girona

Girona has announced that Kim Min-su and Justin Garcia (22) will be registered as first-team players for the 2026-2027 season. The 20-year-old forward, born in 2006, has concluded his loan at Girona and will join the first team.

Big Step for Kim Min-su

After joining Girona's youth team in the summer of 2022, Min-su made his debut with the B team in October of that year. He gradually established himself as a key player for the squad, though he rarely joined the first team due to the rule allowing a maximum of three non-EU players to be registered in the first-team squad.

After extending his contract with Girona until 2027 in August 2024, he received a call-up to the first team in October 2024 amid a series of injuries to key players. He made his La Liga (first division) debut as a 72nd-minute substitute in a home match against Real Sociedad for the 10th round of the 2024-2025 season. It was the 8th appearance by a South Korean player in the Spanish top flight.

Min-su also made his UEFA Champions League debut as a 78th-minute substitute in an away match against PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) for the 4th matchday of the Champions League league phase held in November of that year.

Following his loan move to La Liga 2 side Andorra in July of last year, he scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists in 3 matches in August of last year, earning a nomination for Player of the Month.

New Season at Girona

Now 21, Min-su has officially registered with the first team to face the new season. Girona finished last season 19th in La Liga and was relegated to La Liga 2.
