PSV Eindhoven have added 15-year-old Moroccan attacking midfielder Jaafar Bouyaghroumni to their youth academy. The Utrecht-born player joins the club’s Under-17 side after a stint with Raja Club Athletic in Morocco.
Who is Jaafar Bouyaghroumni?
Born on 26 August 2010, Bouyaghroumni previously developed in the youth systems of AZ Alkmaar and Raja Casablanca. He played for AZ’s Under-15 team during the 2024-25 season before moving to Morocco to join Raja’s Under-17 squad. His technical ability and attacking vision caught the attention of PSV, who now offer him a new challenge at one of Europe’s top youth academies.
Why did PSV choose this talent?
PSV Eindhoven, who finished the 2025 Eredivisie season as champions with 74 points (24 wins, 2 draws, 4 losses) and a +44 goal difference (84 scored, 40 conceded), continue to invest in young talent. Bouyaghroumni fits the club’s tradition of nurturing promising players, as evidenced by their 19-point lead over second-placed Feyenoord.
What does this mean for his future?
At PSV, Bouyaghroumni will initially play for the Under-17 team, where he can adapt to Dutch football culture. His experience in both the Netherlands and Morocco, combined with his international youth caps for Morocco Under-16, makes him a player to watch. The club hopes he will further develop in an environment renowned for producing top footballers.
