PSV Eindhoven has secured the services of experienced player Filip Kostic on a two-year contract after he left Juventus as a free agent. The 33-year-old Serbian winger, who spent four years at Juventus, is now joining Eindhoven without any transfer fees following the expiration of his contract in Turin. According to SoccerNews, Kostic arrives in top condition and brings considerable experience and professionalism to the club.
Kostic, who played for FC Groningen in the Eredivisie between 2012 and 2014, is a versatile player capable of playing as a winger, wing-back, or left midfielder. After his departure from Juventus, several clubs showed interest in Kostic, including AEK Athens, under the management of his compatriot Marko Nikolić. However, Kostic ultimately chose to join Eindhoven.
PSV was looking for a solution to their left-side issue after Anass Salah-Eddine declined a permanent move and returned to AS Roma. The club sees Kostic as a strong addition to their squad with his Eredivisie experience and versatility across the entire left flank. 'We had lengthy discussions with Alessio Ceccarelli, Kostic’s agent,' says Rik Elfrink from Eindhovens Dagblad. 'PSV presented him with a two-year offer before he confirmed his move.'
With this signing, PSV strengthens their attacking options and hopes that Kostic will contribute to the club's ambitious goals for the upcoming season.
