PSV Eindhoven start again as favorite for the Eredivisie title. But manager Peter Bosz wants not only to win, but also to improve his defense. After three consecutive titles, the Eindhoven club is again the big favorite for the Eredivisie title. In the past three seasons, they have shown a dominance in the Eredivisie. PSV Eindhoven won the Eredivisie title for the third year in a row and did it in convincing style. They won the title remarkably early and thus underlined again that they are the dominant force in the Netherlands. Their style of play won a lot of admiration. Under Bosz, they have played a sleek, attacking football over the past three seasons, with a lot of positional rotations and aggressive pressing. The opponents were often pushed deep into their own half. But there was also a downside. Although they were dominant, they still conceded 45 goals in the Eredivisie, an exceptionally high number for champions. In the Champions League, they also showed that they could compete with the European elite. Think of the impressive wins over Liverpool and Napoli. A place in the play-off round slipped away narrowly because of a late defeat to Bayern Munich. Bosz's task is clear: keep the attacking football, while reducing the defensive vulnerability. PSV Eindhoven is getting a multimillion-dollar fee this summer for the outstanding player Ismail Saibari. But there has been no major exodus. Alongside Anass Salah-Eddine, the Moroccan international, the only undisputed starter to leave is Saibari. Saibari completed a move to Bayern Munich for a record fee of around €55 million. PSV Eindhoven also parted company with Joël Drommel, Robin van Duiven, Myron Boadu and Tygo Land. With the title-winning side largely kept together, PSV Eindhoven has not gone for a full squad overhaul this summer. They have opted for targeted reinforcements instead. Mijnans must make up for Saibari's departure and brings a lot of running power and goals. Kostic looks like the replacement for Salah-Eddine. PSV Eindhoven has also signed Matej Kovár permanently after the goalkeeper had already impressed on loan last season. Earnest Stewart has also completed the signing of Kodai Sano.
